Serving as the Creative Director for Japan-based retailer United Arrows & Sons, Motofumi “Poggy” Kogi is among the most influential individuals when it comes to men’s fashion. His ability to seamlessly mix streetwear and high-fashion has landed him at the top of every men’s best-dressed list and frequently earning a spot on Hypebeast’s 100. In addition to his role as Creative Director, he has also successfully launched an online publication, SONS MAGAZINE, where he is seen modeling the newest trends and includes a feature tilted “Poggy’s Favorite Things.” In the past POGGYTHEMAN has collaborated with a number of brands including Filling Pieces, Converse, Greats and several others.
More recently, POGGYTHEMAN has teamed up with Five Four to combine classic Japanese style with modern fits and a high-fashion aesthetic. This will be Five Four’s largest collection to date and incorporates the theme Hollywood to Little Tokyo throughout the pieces to bridge the gap between the two cultures. The extensive collaboration will include everything from tees and button-downs to outerwear and denim. One of the highlights of the collection is a contemporary take on the kimono featuring chambray. The majority of the line will consist of neutral tones with pops of color.
